Based on my performance as an athletic trainer creating relationships, building programs and creating value for our patients, I was promoted to oversee our high school relationships and athletic training outreach initiatives.  That position morphed over time to expand into leadership of staff scheduling and oversight in the clinic, inventory control, coordinating our department marketing initiatives across platforms and policy development. I would volunteer for as much responsibility as I could get with my director saying at one point that “you basically did my job”
Ø  Conceived, built and developed a multidisciplinary service line to a peak of five high schools, nine teams, and over 30 individuals grossing $20,000 over the 3 year life of the program. I was responsible for program strategy, execution, leadership, budgeting, marketing, billing and staff training, scheduling and evaluation
Ø  Succeeded in utilizing Twitter and Mail Chimp to develop brand consistency and content across platforms implementing a marketing newsletter targeted towards key demographics with an average open rate of 25% (20% industry average)

I was the first athletic trainer hired by a new sports medicine office. Within 1 year, I had expanded athletic training outreach to 9 local schools, succeeded in getting football coverage contracts, and helped improve the efficiency of the clinic growing the practice from 1 part time physician to 3 physicians and 7 athletic trainers.
Ø  Achieved department growth by partnering with local high schools to grow athletic training outreach services and event coverage from zero schools to nine high schools and six football teams and acting as physician extender improving patient care, increasing patient volume and assisting with procedures increasing from one to three physicians in the practice

I am always looking to improve my knowledge and understanding, so I completed my graduate degree in Sport Management while working full time in order to better understand business and management.  I also take the initiative to study on my own and have read several books and taken online courses on accounting, finance and marketing to be better able to understand business and decision making.
